HELLCAT RECORDS GETS WARPED

June 23, 2009

Hellcat Records will be in full force on Vans Warped Tour ’09 with standout performances from Civet, Westbound Train, Left Alone, and Orange. Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the Country’s longest-running touring festival will kick off on June 26 in Pomona, Calif. The complete lineup and routing can be found at www.warpedtour.com

WESTBOUND TRAIN (Entire Tour – Hurley Stage)
Boston’s soul/ska septet Westbound Train meld the best of soul, reggae and ska seamlessly on the band’s recently released album, Come and Get It. Shattering musical boundaries while embracing the best of several genres, the new album invites listeners on a journey, traveling through all of the band’s previous influences while creating an exciting new sound that they are eager to reveal to Warped fans across the country. www.myspace.com/westboundtrain

CIVET (June 26-July 3 – Kevin Says Stage)
On a male dominated tour like Warped, the brash and tattooed ladies of Civet have no problem holding their own. Fresh off of a run with Dropkick Murphys and tour with Social Distortion planned for this fall, this tough-as-nails femme fatale punk rock band will blow Warped attendees away this summer as they shred cuts from their latest album, Hell Hath No Fury. www.myspace.com/civet

LEFT ALONE (June 26-June 27 – Kevin Says Stage)
Combining three-chord punk rock with ska and just a dash of country to create a unique sound all their own, Left Alone has used their DIY ethos to move up the ranks from backyard band to Hellcat Records staple on their recently released self-titled sophomore album. www.myspace.com/leftalonepunx

ORANGE (June 26-June 27 – Kevin Says Stage)
Los Angeles based punk rock group Orange have risen out their own ashes to triumphantly produce their best album to date, Phoenix, which is due out in September. On the verge of splitting up the band decided to continue marching forward doing what they love and do best….rocking out. Catch the band this summer for an early taste of the new album. www.myspace.com/orange
